Jonathan’s Cousin Azibaola Robert And Wife Granted N500m Bail Each

Justice Nnamdi Dimgba of a Federal High Court sitting in Abuja has granted former president Goodluck Jonathan‘s cousin, Azibaola Robert and his wife, Stella a N500 million bail each with two sureties in the like sum.

Robert and Stella were arraigned alongside their company, One Plus Holding Limited on a 7-count charge bordering on money laundering criminal breach of trust and corruption by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission.

According to the court, the sureties must be owners of landed properties within the Asokoro District of Abuja. It further stressed that the sureties must present evidence of payment of income tax.

Dimgba then ordered that the defendants should be remanded at Kuje prison pending the fulfillment of bail conditions.

The court then adjourned the case till June 28th, July 4th and 5th for commencement of trial.
